The NEW WFT PRO SALT 2 is our extremely robust all-metal spinning reel for all types of saltwater fishing. Derived from our already extremely robust and tried and tested PRO SALT I. Reel body, rotor, spool and crank arm are made of MARINEGRADE alloy aluminium, which is used in ship and boiler construction because of its high strength and salt water resistance. The aluminum side cover is also used with dowel pins, which guarantees absolute torsional rigidity even under the highest mechanical loads. Despite the robust all-metal construction, the WFT PRO SALT 2 is not too heavy and, thanks to the precision aluminium/stainless steel/bronze gears, offers a level of retrieval comfort that is probably unique for reels in this performance class. The entire body is now sealed all around, allowing the WFT PRO SALT 2 to be submerged in one meter of water for up to an hour without water getting into the gears. 6+1+1 stainless steel ball bearings and a ceramic bearing in the titanium-coated line roller ensure a clean, precise run. The CNC aluminum crank is screwed directly into the stainless steel mount of the gearbox. As a result, there is no more crank play! The cold-forged aluminum spool, cut from a solid block, rests broadly on the bronze spool carrier of the stainless steel axle.
